پلی اورتان PUR
پلی اورتان PUR، در آلمان طی جنگ جهانی دوم توسعه یافت. کاربرد اصلی آن در پوشش ها، الاستومرها و فوم ها می باشد. این نوع پلیمر دارای مقاومت بسیار بالا در برابر سایش می باشد. به علت ترکیبی از انتقال حرارت کم و اثربخشی هزینه به طور گسترده به عنوان مواد عایق استفاده می شود.
از پلی اورتان PUR به عنوان عایق و دیگر برنامه های کاربردی محدود با قابلیت درجه حرارت بالا حدود 250 درجه فارنهایت استفاده می کنند. در مقابل نور مستقیم خورشید و یا در تماس با اکثر حلال های آلی مقاومت خوبی ندارد. پلی اورتان PUR دو نوع معمول دارد: بر پایه پلی استر (Polyester) و بر پایه پلی اتر (Polyether).
